There are moments in life when it seems almost impossible to know how to make the right decision. Especially in the moments when it involves others or when we shape our destiny.

Sometimes, I’d get quickly overwhelmed by wanting to achieve too many things at once. Sometimes, I’d want to know exactly what it takes to fulfill my dreams. It’d be nice to have a detailed plan of how to get from point A to point B.

However, the truth is that the more we try to control our lives, the more we get lost.

The physical mind hasn’t been created to know step by step what to do. The beauty is that there’s no need to know it.

The future changes based on our deeds, thoughts, and words we choose today.

The future isn’t an inevitable static point. If we decide to control the outcome, we shut ourselves off the endless field of possibilities. We become blind to those possibilities that are off the plan.

“It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.”

-Tony Robbins

How to make the right decision?

1. Don’t look for validation from outside

This is your life. Your decisions. Only you’ll live with the choices you’ve made. Seeking validation from the outside is the fastest way to disappointment.

You’ll never know how amazing and capable you are when you let others interfere. Express your beautiful dreams and ideas in reality, and you’ll never feel like you waste your life anymore. The only approval you need is your own.

2. Be crystal clear about your intentions

Intentions matter. We get very different results if we choose from the place of love instead of fear. More loving intentions create more loving reality. Even when you have a feeling that it doesn’t matter what you do, it does.

When you do things out of the right intentions then at some point you experience a breakthrough and the life gifts you with abundance. When you choose from the place of right intentions, you’ll not only feel better, but you also show your worth.

3. Play it out

When you’re unsure about what to choose then one of the best ways is to imagine both options and see how they make you feel 5 years from now. Sit with each decision and observe how it makes you feel. The sensation you get is your intuition which is always right.

4. Ask your future self

You can also ask your future self. The process of asking your future self is straightforward yet profound. All you need to do is to take a piece of paper and ask yourself what would your future self 5 years from now do. You can tap into intuition this way and see what your future self who already know what is the best choice do.

5. The next right step

Ask yourself what the next right step is. This is what I’ve once heard Oprah Winfrey saying and I loved it right away. I love simplicity thus I’ve started using this tool myself. The answer you receive doesn’t have to make any sense to you but do it anyway.

When you release the attachment to the outcome, your higher self (soul) will guide you. You create the place for your higher self to enter. Your higher self is capable of seeing the whole picture so it’ll send you signs where to go, what to do or to whom to speak.

Your excitement will be your guide. Do what feels good. Do the most natural thing at the moment, and you cannot miss the target. And from that place do another right step and another and another.

What we do should feel natural. If it doesn’t then we probably took a detour along the way. If you focus on the next right step, you will not only achieve your goal faster, but you’ll also enjoy the journey. After all, life is the journey to be enjoyed.
