Why the Feminine Energy Is Solar, Not Lunar

The truth is that feminine energy is solar in its essence, not lunar. And it changes more than you may realize. Because symbolically, the sun and the moon carry two distinct functions that influence our identity. If you ever questioned, even at the deepest crevices of your mind, the common myth that feminine energy is lunar, this article is for you.

The Resurrected Feminine Energy is Solar (and Always Has Been)

The truth is that feminine and masculine energy were created as equals. Not identical but equal in their power. Both sovereign. Both powerful. Balancing each other. Both connected to the sphere of the sun. The sun symbolizes the higher self.

The Higher Self is what all hero myths are about. An initiate – a person waking up to their power – sets out on a journey to know who they are and what they are made of. Along the path, they must overcome countless obstacles using their wit, gifts, and creativity. They face their deepest shadow to tame the dragon symbolizing their true strength.

At the end of the hero journey, the initiate becomes the King or Queen. Now having complete rule over their inner landscape and intentionally creating their soul legacy. This is the full embodiment of the Higher Self. Us in our complete power, no longer driven by fears and the ego, but moving as a unified field of energy from the soul.

Since the sun is the symbol of the Higher Self, what happens when we remove it?
What happens when we hide the feminine away in the sphere of the moon?
Staying forever locked away from heaven – from who she really is?
What does the split create internally and in our society as a whole?

Why the Lunar Myth Exists

I could think of a hundred reasons why feminine energy would be associated with lunar energy. Most of them aren’t empowering. But still, this isn’t a matter of personal preference; it’s remembering the truth about the solar feminine energy. The truth the ancients knew, and we forgot.

As with most things spiritual, it’s easy to create misconceptions unless someone has spent decades contemplating deep spiritual topics. It’s easy to misunderstand the feminine as lunar rather than solar when we don’t see the full picture of the soul’s journey. Something I call the Path of Remembrance – remembering and embodying our highest potential.

The soul’s journey describes the path of the soul across lifetimes and dimensions, originating in Source and now returning in full authority and power to its original essence.

The truth is, the hero’s journey is actually a path of the soul. And in its essence, the soul – the part that grows and matures across lifetimes – is feminine regardless of gender. Therefore, everyone who awakens spiritually begins to embody their soul and will lean more into their inner feminine energy.

As we spiritually awaken, we first travel through the sphere of the moon that represents the astral realm. In our modern world, the astral realm looks like the law of attraction, wealth and success, love illusions, and more. Since we awaken through the feminine first and move through the moon, people have, in recent times, begun to associate the feminine with the moon.

But the truth is that feminine energy has as much in common with the moon as masculine energy does. It’s like artificially choosing a tree to represent the whole of nature. Of course, it’s part of it, but as much as a tree represents nature, it could also be the ocean, a mountain, or the animal kingdom in equal measure. If you believe that only a tree represents nature, then you strive to become a tree, forgetting that you’re all of nature.

The Onset of Inequality and Returning to Spiritual Sovereignty

The unspoken implication of associating the feminine with the moon is inequality. She is no longer equal to her masculine counterpart. No longer sovereign. As if she were cursed and deemed less-than.

But is this the truth you feel deep in your heart? Or is it a way to separate the most powerful force in the universe – masculine and feminine energy fully united?

We can see the broken union of masculine and feminine energy everywhere. Inside families and relationships, societies, and inside ourselves. This is why the ancient High Priestesses stewarded the art of inner union, the return of the feminine and masculine to harmony.

On the other hand, when we remember feminine energy as solar force, as equal – not better, not worse – to masculine, the world begins to heal. Now, we can create as equal partners. Now, we can stand in our sovereignty without trying to prove our worth. Thus, we can actually devote our life force energy to what’s truly meaningful. Creating a soul legacy that outlives us. Creating heaven on earth. A sacred call that many people are awakening into.

When we remember feminine energy is solar, we understand that no one else is our keeper. No one is above or below. No one owns your soul; you’re fully whole and sovereign. And this is why this seemingly simple shift has the power to transmute your life if you begin to create it from that knowing.

The Fully Resurrected Feminine And The Moon Under Her Feet

In the language of symbols, the fully resurrected feminine energy is a fully sovereign woman – A Queen of Heaven and Earth – carrying a solar disc atop her head with the moon under her feet. Here, the moon symbolizes our own inner astral aspect – the shadow self we’ve faced and overcome. Just like the masculine energy. The solar disc represents the resurrected feminine energy, her inner solar power fully awakened.

She is the Queen of Heaven, symbolizing her Higher Self, and Earth, which represents her ability to turn knowledge into embodied wisdom. To build bridges others can walk upon.

Together, King, symbolizing the solar masculine, sits next to his Queen as two equals. Two sovereigns. Two partners creating a shared legacy.

The way it has always been.
