The Ego and Soul Merge Process
The ego is tied to our personality. In that way, it’s a necessary part of the soul. However, the ego can get caught up in patterns and timelines that don’t serve the soul. Something like this is a theme I see with all my School of Remembrance clients. There are a couple of key lifetimes on Earth and/or other star systems where the soul has reached the maximum possible potential at that point. The soul has fully embodied their power and manifested it visibly. Then, the ego either misuses that power and negatively influences the collective at that time, or they are a “victim” to someone else’s mistreated power.
Old fears arise as the soul again reaches a similar level of power and embodied potential in this life. The person’s ego is caught up in the concerns of being seen, using one’s voice, stepping into one’s power, and standing up for something meaningful. Consequently, the ego gets stuck in the same patterns resulting from past lives and manifests them in this life again.
It’s quite a journey to heal this. But when you do, the ego is ready to follow the soul’s guidance instead of getting in its way to protect you. The soul merge process is complete at that point, and you always know the right action. Your mind becomes clear, emotions no longer rule your decisions, and you are ready to follow your soul’s purpose.
As you embody your soul, you are initiated into the fourth level. At that point, it’s not your soul guiding you anymore; it’s your Spirit.
The Spirit’s guidance feels pure and focused. It can ask questions that awaken something in you further. But unlike the ego, which has a sense of urgency, the Spirit never commands you and tells you that you must do something. Rather, it’s the consciousness beyond the witness beyond the witness witnessing the witness that continues to awaken you to the remembrance of your infinite self and helps you fully manifest it.
The Dissolvement in the Soul Merge Process
You must cross a void when you go through the soul merge process. It may feel like you’re hanging somewhere between the old and the new. You experience the Dark Night of the Soul, which, in fact, is the Dark Night of the Ego because your ego starts to dissolve. Typically, you must release all identities you have thought are the core of you.
Let’s say your sense of self came from your relationship, and now you must let that relationship go. Perhaps your sense of self came from a job, status, or money, and now you see it all disappear in front of your eyes. Or your sense of self was tied to your body, and suddenly, you can’t use it the way you could have before. This point of the soul merge process can be disorienting because you realize that you are not your old self but don’t yet know where you’ll arrive at the end of this process. It’s like walking through a tunnel, sensing the end of it, but there is always the next curve and the next one.
It’s common to go through the dissolving process several times, depending on how hard we fight against it.
We must release even more if we attempt to return to our old lives. Therefore, the best approach is to let go of what naturally wants to leave your life, understanding that it is not the essence of who you are. You are an infinite being.
This part of the soul merge process is hard because you must go through it alone. Although you meet a mentor or someone to help you when it feels the hardest, you also navigate the void primarily by yourself. The best approach is to become fluid like a river. Trust that what is meant for you will always find you. Be ready to rethink everything about life and who you believed you were.
You’ll build new foundations as your life completely restructures to mirror your soul rather than the ego. At that stage of the soul merge process, there is a rest period. It may feel like nothing much happens, but you must let yourself integrate everything you’ve been through.
During this period, which sometimes triggers the ego again because it doesn’t feel exciting, your physical, emotional, and mental bodies restructure themselves so that more of the soul’s energy can shine through them.
The soul merge process certainly takes a couple of years, more likely a couple of decades, and for most, it takes lifetimes. You may experience many ups and downs along the way. Every low triggers a further clearing out of the ego and deepens the soul merge process. When the process is complete, you’ll know. You have a hard drive that is different from before. Your mind is pure; it’s easy to take a soul-aligned action and devote yourself wholeheartedly to your purpose. Your ego can no longer sway your mind, emotions, and actions.
