Stop Giving Your Power Away to “Artificial” Things
To stop giving your power away, I invite you to clarify what you believe has power over you. The areas of life we feel have power over us are usually the last ones to transform. You may have stopped giving your power away in relationships, but you still give it to money. You may be in your power when you’re by yourself, and the world seems peaceful, but you lose it when challenges arise. Where do you give your power away?
Would an infinite, limitless being choose to give power away to those things?
If you knew that you’re a limitless being, would it make sense to give your power away to those things? If not, why do you choose it? I use the word choose deliberately here. The things you give your power away to could be anything. In a sense, we choose them artificially. It’s not about the thing; it’s about the meaning and power we give it.
Somewhere down the line, we’ve decided that this thing needs to be a certain way, so we have permission to step into our fullest potential. If the things you give your power away to are as you want them to be, you feel invincible. Say you gave your power away to money, and now you have a secure, stable, well-paying job; it instantly changes your perception of yourself. You base your identity on external things.
But if we don’t have that thing, then we feel the opposite. We feel like we cannot make our dreams come true, and we step into a negative energy-momentum. We feel powerless without that one thing we decided we need to be in our potential, to live our purpose, and to be seen in our gifts.
The Symbol of Your Power
Everyone has something they believe holds power over them. If that thing is on a pedestal, then we must be powerless. Without realizing it, we change our behavior, actions, and words to reinforce the reality that the thing is more significant than we are. But if you’re an infinite being, how can that thing be greater than yourself? Is it possible it was just an illusion?
At some point, you’ve subconsciously decided what the symbol of power is. Perhaps it comes from your family – if they struggled financially, you believe the solution to everything is money. But without it, you’re powerless, which prevents you from recognizing your innate value.
When you give your power away to something, you create an intricate web of limiting stories about why you can’t be and do what you desire without that thing. You believe you can’t step into your potential or live your dreams without that thing. Or that you can’t be successful if you haven’t achieved this. So you continue the chase. But you can’t catch something that is on a pedestal.
Even if you do consistent inner work, you don’t let yourself go beyond the ceiling you’ve set as the furthest you can go.
The energetic ceiling is the degree of power you are “allowed” to play with in this life.
True Power Comes from God – Not That Thing
So, how can you stop giving your power away? It’s a long journey, but it can also happen in a second when you realize that the true power comes from Source. True power doesn’t come from that thing. It doesn’t come from money, a specific relationship, or a job. It comes from God.
If you can truly get this, you stop giving your power away to artificial things you’ve decided are more powerful than God. When you know this to be true in your heart, you tap into the quantum field where all possibilities exist.
It’s not about the thing; it’s about who you are.
When you know the true power comes from God through this sacred connection, you remember that you’re a limitless being. Everything that feels like a restriction is an ego illusion that believes you are separated from the infinite space we are.
Remember that
Whatever you believe has power over you is just an artificial symbol you chose based on your core wounding. It holds no real power over you. The only power comes from and through God.
If you want to start reclaiming your power, Personal Power is the best place to begin.
