3 Ways to Create Your Morning Routine

Having a morning routine is one of the best ways to stay positively charged throughout the day.

Before jumping into an accelerated day, it’s important to take time for yourself to tune into what you want from the upcoming day. And also, take time to connect with yourself first. The time in the morning is sacred.

What you invested in yourself in the morning will keep you energized and focused throughout the day. I started developing my morning routines about 7 years ago. And it very positively impacted my life in every aspect.

Some of the benefits of morning routines for me

  • First of all, I started looking forward to the morning and automatically started getting up early.
  • My mind became calmer and more focused on the right things. It helped me avoid being distracted and instead take charge of my day.
  • I became more balanced. My mourning routines centered me throughout the whole day.
  • Naturally, I developed other positive and supporting habits as a side effect.

Now, let me share some of the morning routines that I like to start my day with.

You can develop your own routine and personalize it to your daily schedule. Yet, I can only recommend getting up 30 min earlier as it can make you feel better for the whole day. When you bring the intention in your morning, you change your day and thus change your life.

3 Morning Routines That Can Change Your Life

1. Set an intention

The single most important thing on how to start your morning is to set an intention for your day.

What do you want to experience?

How do you want to feel?

What do you want to achieve?

Become very deliberate about where your day goes. Setting the intention will make your day flow better and smoother. It doesn’t mean that you have to make a to-do list. It just means that you decide how you want to experience your day.

The most important thing is to choose how you want to feel. If any challenge comes up, it’s so much easier to remind yourself what matters to you – feeling good.

2. Meditation

I know that everyone knows it, yet, I will say it here again. Meditation is one of the great ways of how we can slowly rewire our minds.

Meditating is about regularity and practice.

Start with 2 minutes a day and gradually add more and more minutes. It will get easier, I promise. The simplest way to dwell in the world of meditation is to focus on your breath or listen to guided meditations.

3. Move your body

Move your body. It can be just for 10 minutes a day. Buy a mat and stretch your muscles and strengthen your spine.

Find the movement that works for you. For me, yoga is the queen. If you’re new to yoga, you can watch some videos and exercise along. You can start doing yoga from the comfort of your home with Tara Stiles. Or you can also try pilates, for that, I can recommend Blogilates.

Just give it a try. If you’re skeptical about the positives of having a morning routine, try it anyway. You have nothing to lose.

Yoga also has a significant effect on the power of will; you can read my experience here.
